No News is Good News

I would like to tell you I have exciting things to tell, but I don't.  University is insane, work is relentless, and my placement was unhealthily busy.  I barely even get time with K Bargie (AKA, the boyfriend, to you new readers).  I have written NOTHING new and I am thoroughly frustrated with this fact.

In other news, Mommy Dearest (my mum) informs me that 3 books arrived back at home for me this week.  Novus CreaturaDark Things: A Horror Anthology, and Fem-Fangs (A Vampire Anthology).  I'm looking forward to seeing them and should hopefully have time to blog about them later.  Can't wait to see Fem-Fangs.  Really psyched  about that.  Hope those who have seen it already are enjoying it.  If anyone wants to point me towards any particular stories in it, feel free to do so in the comments form below.  Once I'm home, I'll update my sidebar with the cover links.

As for now, I'm off for my first night of freedom in 10 days.  Yes, that's right, it's been 10 days since I've had a night off.  Tomorrow I'm doing absolutely nothing.  NOTHING!!!!!!!!

Ta-ra, my fair bunnies.

PS...as it's national poetry day, I invited you all to Google my favourite poem, "The Day the Saucers Came" by Neil Gaiman.  Enjoy, my dears.  Love to you all.

  1. Ooo. . .Fem-Fangs is amazing and I loved your story! How can you stand waiting to see it!

Unfortunately, my enjoyment was marred by the discovery of two errors in my manuscript that neither I or the editor picked up. Never mind.

  2. Emma! funny you should mention poetry. I'm running a new poetry anthology entitled "Romance for Noobs." Check it out. http://redskiespress.proboards.com/

  3. Just got Novus Creatura in the mail yesterday. Can't believe it got to Scotland before it got to Canada! Reading it now at a feverish pace. Such a great book.

  4. Ello folks...

Ellie: Thank you so much! The book looks amazing. Unfortunately, I've had no time to read it, but I will pounce upon your story as soon as I have the chance!!!

Mark: AWESOME!!! I'm not much of a poet, but I'll see what I can do.

Chris: Magic. I know, what's that about?!?!?! It arrived when I was away from home+my Mum called me like "You've got a package from Alaska!!! Woooow!!!" Hope you're enjoying. Again, I've not had the chance to read, but I'll jump on yours when I get the opportunity.

  5. Just a quick reminder that my Top Ten Films They Should Have Made blogfest is next Tuesday!
